The Difference Between Conservative and Traditional Catholicism

I thought this was a very good read. What is the difference between a "conservative Catholic" and a "traditional Catholic"? Written by Fr. Chad Ripperger of the FSSP.

Dang. I read most of the article and I'm sublimely thrilled with how he brought in philosophy AND theology like a good and true thinker should. I am frankly afraid that someday we may live in a world where there will be no more traditions at all, or at least, no true respect or considerable sense of their importance to our existence.

Lately I've been postulating: we always, always, always hear that reason is man's highest faculty, but I think that is incorrect. I think that faith is man's highest faculty, because it takes something inexplicable even by reason so much so that it is deeply and inextricably human. Even some animals can reason. And yet what has brought about all of humanity's civilizing activity whether it be philosophical, architectural, military, scientific, intellectual, etc., it has all been driven in some way at least by a notion of the sublime and the divine in the world.
