Merry Christmas


Tomorrow at the Midnight Mass we will welcome once again the Christ Child. I've been looking forward to this Christmas with great anticipation!! The Christmas 'novena' ends on Christmas Eve, and I've been praying hard for a special grace. So we'll see how those prayers are answered!

Also, today I caved in and started up the Christmas music. In addition to the wonderful carols and a few nice secular songs that evoke the Christmas spirit, I've been enjoying listening to the Missa O Magnum Mysterium by Victoria and the motet of the same name which serves as the theme for the ordinary of this Mass. O great mystery, and wonderful sacrament,
that animals should see the newborn Lord,
lying in a manger!
Blessed is the Virgin whose womb
was worthy to bear Christ the Lord. Alleluia!
